it's weird, some of the reviews have called this one of the more boring ones, but I'm enjoying it more than Chindi so far. It's like the anti-Dark Forest.

It's good to get back to space archaeology again...

I haven't been great at keeping track of my thoughts as i read of late, but since there's so much interest in this book:

- it's more fun than it feels like it should be based on a sorta lame plot (but a pretty cool setting)
- the character is sorta a young mark watney with boobs. which is fun, but i'm not sure it's exactly a stretch for weir to write. I also don't think i'd have noticed if I hadn't read the martian

remember how i said i was going to take a break from these? naw man. still not ready to face books that make me think.

this is getting paused temporarily, but I should get back to it soon.
