I always pictured Solomon way younger when he became king because of the line about being a little child. This depicts him saying he is LIKE little child instead. Hmmm... he did get married but that doesn’t mean much back then. He could have been under 18. Weird.

The romance in this seems to be moving faster than I normally like but I’m not mad. XD I think the book is just moving faster than I expected

The Bible in this but how do you stop at Judges 5 and skip to Ruth? No Gideon or Samson? I understand skipping some of the shorter judge stories or doing a quick panel spread of it but how do you skip those two??

I wish I had more historical or cultural context for why the Israelites were so easily led astray by creating a golden calf to be their god. Like did they not just witness God’s miracles? What were they thinking? Was this some mindset they learned in Egypt with their gods?

I kind of love the world-building so far? Based on the cover/synopsis, I assumed this book was set in the Middle East but what is all the wild west-esque vibes?

It’s so interesting to see this depict the Egyptians praying to specific gods for each of the plagues. Makes me want to watch The Prince of Egypt!

The problem with audiobooks is if I’m not interested in the story I zone out and then have no idea what is happening. Though I suppose I wouldn’t be reading the book in the first place if it didn’t interest me enough.
