I want to be excited about a new Percy Jackson book but the whole concept just feels like an extra money grab. THREE BOOKS for three quests just so he can get into college? Why wasn't this a short story or novella collection instead?

Here's another short story collection idea, Suzanne Collins: one short story for every tribute in the 74th hunger games. I want to know what Thresh up to during the events. I want a story from Cato's POV where he kills Thresh (how did it happen?) I want to know about the other tributes that don't have names--what were they thinking? feeling? There could be stories set at the Reaping, during the fanfare before, etc.

This isn't grippping me like I want so I think I'm going to try to read this at a later time

Every time there’s another reveal I feel more confused about what is happening. Is it intentional to mimic Lewis Carroll?

Look, instead of giving us a story about President Snow, Suzanne Collins should have written one about Cinna. How he grew up, why he was against the games/Capitol, why he chose to rebel, what it means that Portia is his partner, etc. I have QUESTIONS that need answers!!!

Rereading mainly to scrub Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes from my mind, BUT the Reaping scene here always gets me. Goosebumps every time.
