Story #3

This had the potential to be my favorite so far and it nearly was, I like the simplistic whimsical world and it read like a inclusive traditional fantasy. The mermaids were definitely my favorite part! But it kind of lost its spark on the second half. I can’t pin point what happened but definitely want to check out this author’s other work.

Elizabeth Acevedo is an absolute favorite of mine. Her writing did not disappoint in the beginning of the story, though I did find it less lyrical overall, I enjoyed Listening to the complexities of two perspectives that are so completely different coming together against a shared adversity. I admit to wanting more from the ending, but there hasn’t been a time where I have read Acevedo‘s work &not craved more<3

OK story #1 definitely had my interest peaked the entire time. I feel like there were a couple things that could’ve been better connected, but my enjoyment level was pretty solid the whole time with plenty of snippets to try and lead me to the answers.

i used to not be able to name most of the presidents, now its hard to pick my least favorite... Fuck Reagan tho.
