I had to give up. I appreciate the information, but very difficult reading. It did influence my voting this cycle.

I'm so glad I picked this up. It just flew by. Some good laughs amidst the mystery. A challenging puzzle, strong characters, lovely Oxford setting. I'll be looking for more of the Inspector Morse series!

Good wintery Vera Stanhope mystery! We really enjoy these audiobooks. Good mystery, satisfying ending, real characters and great setting.

Dion Graham is an excellent narrator. This is a good solid compelling story. More hard-boiled than what I usually read, but it really kept my attention. I found it a bit hard to believe such a violent reaction to news of one's surprising ancestry. A good page turner. Short, quick read.

I'm loving this book. I won a copy from LibraryThing giveaways. Unfortunately my copy came with missing pages and duplicated pages in their stead. I am searching out another copy to continue the story. It is a lovely book.

A very interesting look at gender, the way it is perceived and what it means to not fit the norm. It really opened my eyes. It is a tender subject with more facets than I initially imagined. An important introduction to the issue. I hope it gets a wide audience.

A wonderful blend of poetry and prose. This is a touching new book from a truly remarkable author. I was delighted to see a new book from Sharon Creech. She really captures full characters and interesting situations. I felt for everyone in this story. The blending of formats propels you forward as you read. If you liked Love That Dog or Hate That Cat you will be thrilled with this new offering. What a cow!

Nancy is on page 40 of 320 of 52 Small Changes for the Mind: Improve Memory * Minimize Stress * Increase Productivity * Boost Happiness
The first chapter is "Put Pen to Paper" advocating journaling. Just as I was given a beautiful journal for my birthday and a fabulous pen for Xmas. The next chapter is "Let the Music Play". Pointing out my forever New Year's resolution to play more music with Heath. Now "Be a Goal Setter" as I pick up the GoodReads reading challenge. I think this book is for me!

I picked this up because Mama and Daddio read this together. I now have Mama's copy. Not my favorite translation, but nice to walk in their steps.

Interesting idea, but not carried out as I had thought. Since food can be purchased it seems that dining out and fast food are okay purchases. Candy becomes the gift of choice for children. This book is clearly written for Christians. Bible verses open each chapter. It will lose a lot of people with this bias. I wish it were a more clear indictment of consumerism.

This book is taking to my bookshelves to look up things more than many I have read. I've started re-reading The Tempest and have fallen in love with Thanatopsis by William Cullen Bryant.

I started this and had to return it to the library. Now I've started again. It is hysterical. I'm loving it. Heath wonders what is going on in the other room because I'm laughing out loud.

I read this a long time ago, before I had read any Hamish Macbeth mysteries. It is nice to reread it now that I know the town and the characters.

I'm reading this at Mama's suggestion. It feels like I read it before. My remembrance is that it is pretty twisty. It will be interesting to see if I see more clues to the twists this time around.
