Tbh not what I expected. Agnes is the only character that’s not flat.. and for the big catastrophe.. I am sorry, I feel nothing.. to feel something about someone’s death certainly means to know them before. And this wasn’t the case here. The person dying, which the whole book is about, wasn’t even introduced properly, was only there in 1 or 2 scenes..
Beautiful prose isn’t anything 🤷🏻‍♀️
