This is one of those books that lands in your hands without seeking. I found it in the Goodwill used book shelf. Fr. McCarthy is an exgtraordinary teacher and has founded a retreat center. Already memorized one section because it speaks to me so strongly.

Something about these illustrations makes it so much more enjoyable to re-read.

I'm taking this book slowly and intentionally, like staining furniture, letting it soak into the grain of me.
