The problem with reading about Hamlet within a book is every time they reference a scene my 11th grade brain kicks in with all the words. Then I’m doing Hamlet in my head and my eyes are moving but I’m not reading. So now I feel like I should just watch Hamlet.

I’m so confused about how this hero smells. I feel like I recall some combination of smoke, man soap, sometimes peppermint & leather.

If she would only mention it more often I might be clear.

Years later, I tried to look it up at the library. I searched book after book of Celtic legend and lore, but I couldn’t find the tale of Little Light. Instead, the dark found me.
