These are adult characters acting like their in a middle grade novel and if the rest of this book is just them having sex I'm gonna be weirded out

Jen DeLuca is funny as always with a great sense of small town community. The mystery is a bit drawn out, you can tell Elmer is a ghost right away, Nick is getting possessed and Hawkins trying to protect him, it's not much of a mystery at all. But I love these characters

The charity gala idea is cute, but who vandalizes an animal shelter?? That makes no sense
And this is the SECOND TIME she's gotten her white t shirt wet and shown her bra to this guy. C'mon

They're doing the thing where one MC is wayyy more flirty in the others POV. And getting drunk to finally get some of Gabes guard down feels like cheating.

Very glad Gabes going to work at the animal shelter instead, this guy needs puppies around to even start to be likeable. Good for Leah for finally standing up for herself about "don't expose witches" talk they give her every five seconds. She can be mature who knew

not me remembering i thought Leah was super annoying in book 1

Cute so far, but it has some typical harlequin stuff like they HAVE to get married just go with it, the mother is literally evil, and everybody blushes just at the mention of sex

Yeah this lack of depth is bothering me. I only know it's out of character for Marta to initiate sex because the author says so. The husband is described as a stranger, but why? How does he act differently than before? When Nena insults him, I didn't even realize until it said he was speaking in a cold tone. I know this isntance isn't important but it's like that for everyone

Happy to get an arc I was actually interested in. But the characters seem very flat rn - also HOW is Marta 20 years into a nonprofit legal aid and actually calling abused women stupid??? Like?? That's the dumbest thing I've everread

Pretty cool! The art is amazing, high production. I do like that the sister is like a "popular cheerleader" trope but also acts like a dog lmao

I'm a bit lukewarm with this one, which is unfortunate. It's mostly Sloane internally agonizing over the monster she could become and being condescending to Naomi - the disturbing parts aren't too disturbing imo not like Such Sharp Teeth

Not loving the repeated "oops we bit someone gotta run" that's happened FOUR times now but I do appreciate the female rage

The sexual chemistry between the girls is off the charts lmao Harrison cannot stop using taste metaphors

Absolutely loving this! Funny and cozy, if a bit slow going. Almost halfway through and the plot is finally actually starting but I've been enjoying the atmosphere

i think what's irking me is that the main characters are literally perfect. they have no flaws, they don't disappoint anyone, and keep acting like this engagement lie will just blow over??

I keep going back and forth on this, its SAYING the right things but the execution is weirdly off putting? Like the mom is talked down to because she lives in romance novels bc they're "not real" but like, the readers are obviously romance readers too?? And they're SOOO in love because they're SOOO honest but they are lying to the public lol
