I am having a hard time with the Glasgow colloquialisms. Like lost it takes me out of the story. I'm getting annoyed.
And I don't really like the characters.
I bought this on Amazon's recommendation for fans of Marion Todd, which I am, another 'utterly gripping' detective mystery. YMMV, but I'm only hanging around to find out whodunnit. Maybe I'll skip the last 50 pgs & put all of us out our misery.

this is amazing.

Margaret Atwood is up there with Marx and Hegel for writing words people cling to and use to make the world a worse place.

I need the laughs! It's still funny 20 yrs later. I don't know how many times I've read this book.

this is funny at times. I'm amazed at the variations and nuances of anxiety she has her characters exhibit.
