Super interesting, but some of these archival recordings in the audiobook are pretty low-quality.

This book is amazing. There's such a huge smile on my face right now, and I still have a third of it left to read.

Goodreads has changed the Year in Books feature to only show a user's 100 most recent books from the year in question... I hope that's just a bug and they switch it back soon, because right now the feature is pretty useless for me.

He'd been seven then, small for his age, but old enough to know the most interesting conversations happened after his bedtime.

This plot is humming along nicely. I'm quite glad the kidnapping that was the cliffhanger to the last book got resolved so early on, rather than being the entire point of this novel.

Well, there's finally something of a plot at least.

Literally nothing has happened in this book yet.

You know, if people had just told me that this book was the 1930s version of Gone Girl, I would have gotten around to reading it a lot sooner.

This book is kind of stomach-churning. Educational, though.
