I really hate how language is being used in this book. The main character has a universal translator that keeps including expressions we know and he doesn't (like "heebie-jeebies"). Either let the translator work properly for him or render that stuff as nonsense words for the reader!

We're up to at least 10 different viewpoint characters now. And it's not even like this is an expansive setting like the Stormlight Archive where we need to keep checking in on a bunch of developing situations. This whole effort could have been dramatically tightened up.
