I'm not really enjoying the dates flip flopping back and forth between the chapters. I have to keep going back to the previous chapters to verify the dates and it's making me annoyed.

This is the book that never ends. It goes on and on my friends. Finally made it to book 3. If this book goes the same as the last two, this should not have been a trilogy, but just a longer single book.

Finally made it to book 2. Can't say it's getting much more interesting. I could do without the constant talk about breasts and penises however.

It amazes me for a time period when the literacy rate was quite a bit lower than what we have today, that these damned old books are so wordy!

I want to enjoy this book. I really do. I find myself flying through Aomame's chapters, but Tengo's chapters bring me to a grinding halt. I don't know if it's because of Tengo, or the interactions of the two extremely annoying people he has to deal with.

starting chapter 16 tomorrow

Re-reading so I can read Doctor Sleep. I don't think I'll put it in the freezer however.

I get it. Mary likes Point beer from Wisconsin. Does it really need to be mentioned every 4th chapter or so?

I don't even know how far I am, just kind of guessing. I like the thought behind this book, so I'm going to keep it in my currently reading. Maybe I'll get back to it.

Another one that is taking much too long to move the story along. It has potential, I don't have the patience.

I can't finish this. I'm trying to figure out where the anti-social part is. This woman just drinks a lot and talks about the things she doesn't like. It's really quite dull.

Can't see myself picking up book 7 when its re-released based off what I'm reading in this one. Sad, because the first book was quite intriguing. The fact telling vs filler just gets worse as the series goes on.

Guess it's time to get back to this beast. *sigh*

For a book about French monarchy, this one sure has a lot about England in it. Sure, the Queen of England at the time was a French princess, but if I wanted to know about how light in the loafers Edward II was, I'd pick up a book about him (pretty sure I have!)

I don't recall being so... obsessed about EVERYTHING when I was a teenager. Kait is utterly exhausting. I was hoping this was going to be a quick read, but it's quite tedious. Even for YA.

The editing in this book is killing me. I have to go back and reread some sentences multiple times to understand them due to strange punctuation.

This one is rough to get through.

I think I read this a billion years ago. So I'm listening to the audio version.

This is slow going for me. The copy I have is quite odd. I'm not sure if someone typed it in manually from the book version, but there are many stray periods, commas & semi-colons that keep making my brain thing the sentences are saying something completely different.

I hate when you start a new series but the author takes forever to get anywhere with the story lines. I feel a book in a series should be just as good as a stand alone as well as fitting in to its place in the series itself. This book is not holding my interest at all, and because it was a freebie, I'm thisclose to slapping it into the abandoned category.

LMAO. Never once did I think if be laughing at the Goddess of Suicide. She's pretty damned funny without even trying. She's never worn undergarments and is trying in bras and asks the clerk "You don't think it makes my breasts look like a tiny butt?" Ha! Hahaha! Don't even get me going on the 'boy shorts' discussion she had with herself.

Haha! "Where the hell are you, Cimil?" "Popping tags with Roberto," she replied. "Popping what?" he asked. Cimil growled. "You shame Macklemore-I'm at a thrift store. Where else would a goddess find a microwave for her potpie and a new pair of pink hot pants? And a Lee Majors doll! Score!" Double hahahaha.

not too bad so far. i'm a little disturbed by the overuse of the word "portal" in a non-fantasy book. and for being halfway through a book in the "brian koski" series, he's been only on about 10 pages, and not all because he was actually in the scene, he was mostly just talked about.
