Very much a book about modernity and how it has shaped our thoughts and actions, ultimately rendering us ill-equipped to fully comprehend the unique kind of problem that climate change presents. Ghosh draws some fascinating parallels between the industrialization of the planet, what happened to our minds as a result, and why our traditional ways of dealing with problems just won't work.
