'The Castle of Otranto' is the first Gothic novel ever written. However, where it succeeds in precedence it falls down in simple storytelling and quality of writing. The supernatural elements of the novel are pretty clumsy, and altogether unconvincing, and most of the novel resorts to the romantic affairs of a bunch of chivalric sterotypes.

Contains some very inspiring images of some of the painstaking Disney layouts, spanning most of the Disney renaissance era of the nineties. I enjoyed some of Hans' anecdotes from some of the different productions he worked on but overall the text is a bit frivolous and with some of the advice being about general film making and lacking focus. Aspects of it were useful to my field though.
