Cairo 1920's. The Al Jawad family. Amina obedient servant wife married at fourteen. Husband is out nightly after midnight. They have three or four children. Description is third person but very well crafted. A few too many 'she is' sentences but is conveys action and emotion quite effortlessly. Shows world of Muslim woman, others call 'the bee', due to her dedication to the mundane practises of husband and home.
