I think I'll end up finishing the book. I just can't leave the characters where they are. Must find out what happen(ed)/(s).

I really do like this book and I'm engaged in the story but my brain is too fogged from illness to read it most days. I might give up on it soon. I don't know at this point. I don't know if I can get through a book that is this long, this complicated, and requires that I keep meticulous notes just to keep up with the author.

I knew there would be a lot of characters so I started with a document on my phone where I would write everyone's name and details as I read. I think doing that helps me keep up with everyone. I have a lot of names already but haven't yet needed to look one up. I've also been googling the astrology chapter titles. I get it but is there a point to the astrology at some point? Don't answer that. Spoilers.

I think I hate my 60 book 2015 take-it-easy challenge. I don't like being way ahead all the time without trying - in fact when I'm trying to read less. Feels so wrong! I'm restless and bored and don't like anything. I think I should bump it up. See how at least 70 feels. I might take a few months to find the right pace.

I tried to organize my 300+ unread ebooks and prioritize what to read next year and ended up downloading ten more books.

I love Julia. Q is fine. I like Q. But Julia takes it to another level altogether.

I have emotional problems with finishing this book. Not only will it be over but the next one gets really dark...

My first re-read in centuries. On principal I don't usually think re-reading is a good use of reading time but I love these books and just picked up the third and final. I want everything fresh in my mind.

I keep thinking in a backwards manner for ten seconds after I take a break.

Just calculated that I need to read eight books a month from now till Dec. in order to meet my challenge. Also ... I'm two books behind. Anybody have short novel suggestions???

So far this is a really fun and eclectic collection of scifi.

I'm starting to find this book really daunting despite how I love it. When you've balked at finishing a book for so long it seems more and more impossible. Gotta get in there again tonight. I predict insomnia anyway.

Ever read a book that keeps you from reading another novel for a long time? I loved the beginning of Windup Girl but I can't continue. I have the mood and characters of Secret History so embedded in my mind that I can't move on.

Already breaking my heart and pulling me in.

So goddamn good but so goddamn long.

I thought this book would never get anywhere but I think it's finally starting to start to get somewhere. Not a bad read though.

I'm three books ahead so I decided to plunge into a 900 page postmodernist monstrosity. I'm a masochist apparently. This one seems to be one of those love or hate deals so we'll see how far into it I get.
