Kailey (Luminous Libro) is 24% done with War of Kings and Monsters
This book has a problem with telling instead of showing, and there are long historical explanations instead of true world-building. But the plot is moving along nicely, so I'm enjoying it fairly well.

I'm already having trouble with this one. First of all, the emotional punch of hearing about the main character's chronic illness is really difficult for me because of my own life experiences. It's poking at my personal emotional wounds. And I'm not enjoying reading all the conversations in the form of cellphone texts. The text messages go on for pages and pages, and it's difficult to slog through all that.

So far my favorite poem is "Stars" by Emily Bronte.
"Ah! Why, because the dazzling sun
Restored our Earth to joy,
Have you departed, every one,
And left a desert sky?"
