It's that time again! Time for my first 6 week summer class to start and I don't feel like I'm ready. Here's to a productive 6 weeks!

Find your true calling with different methods than occupational skills tests. It's all based on your personality and what you enjoy then match it with an occupation it fits best. Finding meaning and passion/enjoyment in your work can be possible. Are you working a "job," a "career," or a "calling"?

To make tasks more pleasurable, we should apply a sexual model to it over a prioritizing one. For instance, when working on an essay, view the research as foreplay, choosing a thesis as a climax, and writing the paper as the afterglow (for lack of a better word). It sounds funny but it makes me more excited about writing an essay. I do enjoy learning something new and researching.

It's gotten much better and provides some useful info to be self critical. To view moments in life differently in order to be "happy" more often.

"Secret Identity" was very entertaining! A great short story.

The "Summer People" make me think of Boxtrolls or The Borrowers. Her short stories are always so imaginative. *sigh* :-)

I like the approach to starting something new. Instead of using sheer determination make it a habit by scheduling it (like athletes and musicians do). Other than that, he better get passed all the "surface stuff" quickly or I won't be interested in finishing it.

This history of the future puts women back 200 years. Women lose their right to work, earn equal pay, own anything, or even get child support from the fathers of their children. Men can leave a woman if she no longer pleases him or does what he wants. Even welfare is refused to women and children. This is the beginning of another Civil War. An interesting Read despite it being very YA.
