I had the same issue. My depression effected my health and my health effected my depression. I'm glad we both figured out and fixed our problems.

I love Felicia! I've been a fan of her acting since I first discovered who she was. She doesn't disappoint with this book. I feel like she could be a long-lost sister with her odd, nerdy, eclectic, and encouraging childhood. ^_^

I can't seem to get into it right now. I'll revisit this book later.

The missionaries used the same methods on African children as they did on Native Americans (beating their culture and religion out of them). It's so sad and frustrating to hear.

She did a great job with historical accuracy. The chapter about H touches on the same topic as "Slavery by Another Name."

I had no idea the last name Freeman really stood for Free Man on identification cards for those who escaped slavery. Their last names were changed to show that are no longer slaves when living it states that allowed freedom.

What a horrible horrible mother!!!!!!!! I don't see how someone can hate their own child so much.

I'm throwing in the towel. It's not worth my time to read books that don't bring me enjoyment.

I don't know if I can handle a whole book full of recounting events in detail (that shouldn't have been able to be known since they're from videos etc). Some of these are told from the 1st person p.o.v. It just isn't as exciting or entertaining as I thought it would be.

It's a compilation of records written down from various devices (e.g. video surveillance, webcams, voice recorders etc.) that were compiled in a "black box" of sorts. Kind of interesting so far.
