This has all the fun of a B horror movie in book form with romance. There’s OTT humor, a touch of surprising violence, quirky monster danger, and then Cassandra Gannon’s trademark of main characters being obsessed with each other.

I don't know why Goodreads likes to hide friends' updates and not notify when people comment, you know, the basic things that the site/app is supposed to do. I feel the same way I do when my dog tears into something they shouldn't, disappointed but unsurprised.

This has been such a Mondaying Monday, sigh.

I'm trying to look through my TBR to make a list of books that are next in series I need to continue and I keep getting thrown off. I just have so many books on my TBR that are in the middle of a series but will be the first in the series for me cause that's how I roll 😂

Wolf shifter H, single mom h, adorable kids, low angst, novella = just what I need next

Y'all, my father in law just offered to share his library card with me (different state) and that's an easy hell no on him seeing my reading history, even just an itty bit of it. Even with most library books being tamer than pure smut. 😂

I'm taking a mental health, social media ban weekend. I hope all of my friends have only 5 star reads all weekend! ❤️

Why is it so hard to resist adding to my TBR?
Me: no more TBR adding til you read a few books
2 seconds later: oh my finger clicked on this book
2 seconds after that: oh it happened again, might as well add 5 more now

I somehow went from searching for cozy contemporary fall reads to NEEDING steamy witches and paranormal. I'm just along for the book ride yo, but I guess I'm hunting through bookshelves and Reddit tonight.

I’ve been skipping around but there’ve been a couple fun short stories so far! Bebe Harper has an instalove and fast burn read that was cute and Erin Hale has a great fated mates short story with a crashed human and an amnesiac alien hero.

Guess it's back to choosing randomly cause hell if I know what I should read now 🤣

It's another stuff your kindle/e-reader time y'all! And this one's going for 3 days! For my friends not in the US who had trouble with links last time, the list shows links for other countries now too so the organizers heard and made changes. Hope everyone finds some awesome new reads or old favorites! ❤️

Finally reading a new book for the first time in forever! I have so much page catching up to do.

What's a good name for when works gets in the way of reading or talking about books (like checking on here) for the whole day (I know, those monsters)? Book-blocking? Bookerference? Bookjammed?

It warms my heart when I see reviewers supporting other reviewers who didn't like a book they loved or maybe loved something the other person hated. We can have different taste and still be encouraging and supportive when talking books! Plus, sometimes those other opinions make good points 😂

It took me way longer than I’m proud of to realize I read two books back to back with the same name for the MMC 🤔😂

Well came home from traveling with a cold, which is great for gobbling up all the books I couldn't read on vacation but not so great for actually doing things or writing reviews.

Well my vacation’s over 😭 but I can read again 🥳. I can soak up all the books as part of my vacation recovery 😂.

I've had a really stressful (and frankly awful) last couple of weeks BUT tomorrow I'm on vacation! 🥳 The only negative, little to no reading or social media time for a bit. I wish everyone some amazing and five star reads! ❤️

Why do library holds usually want to all come available at once? I had to suspend a couple so I wouldn't have 5 hit at the same time, while I was having family time lol.

Real life means very little reading or GR time this weekend and I am bereft 😭 (also a lil bit dramatic 🤣).

I can’t decide what to read next so I guess we’ll see how lucky I am as I pick something at random!

Why are there so many more contemporary books I want to read?! It feels harder to find the non-contemporary. We need more paranormal, monsters, aliens, magic, fae, all the escape from the real world good stuff!

It's so reassuring talking to book friends who also find themselves stumped by writing style or mood or reading a book at a less than ideal time for why they didn't love something. I wish all my friends five star reads obviously, but it's also just not possible every time and I'm glad I'm not just the ridiculously picky and crazy person I sometimes think of myself as lol.

Spending more time looking at what my friends are reading than reading myself but it’s cool, totally cool…unrelated, at what point do you lower your reading goal? 👀😂
