I've been so indifferent about this novel for so long and then they actually managed to drop a bomb I wasn't expecting??? Well played, Sara Raasch. Well played indeed...

I don't know what it is about this book that makes me so...distant from it? I feel like the reason I'm still reading it is because the writing style makes it easy to get through. I don't feel any real connection with the characters :/

Lmao I went from reading no books to reading multiple books at the same time. And I've been on pause for this book for a WHOLE YEAR??? Holy Crap!!! I literally did a double take when I saw my last status update for this O_O

On another note, this book is getting interesting again lol

I can't tell if Percy is handling all this change like a champ or if he's really desperate to distract himself from what happened to his mother :(

Ok, I'm honestly really pissed for Percy right now. He saw his mother evaporate before his eyes and they're being so insensitive about it. Like wtf? I have no idea if they're trying to distract him from his grief but either way, I'm still super pissed

He looked like a cherub who'd turned middle-aged in a trailer park

Ok...hi. So, long story short, this is actually my first time reading the Percy Jackson series. I figured I've been missing out on a great fanbase and with all the hype returning thanks to the TV show news, this seemed like a great time to start. So here we go!

Lol is it bad that I like Kovit?

The folklore in this book is so frickin refreshing! Instead of vampires and werewolves, we get creatures like zannies and color-changing people based on the Pink Dolphin.

I've been using non-mainstream folklore in my own work, so it's soooo nice to see it in books already published, especially from non-European/US countries :D

Oof, I'm curious how Nita is gonna get herself out of this

So far, this is keeping my interest. And to think, I found this thanks to the Webtoon adaptation for it :D

You know a book is dark when they have unicorns as one of the creatures that's extremely deadly

This fantasy book slump has been kicking my butt for almost a whole year now. Here's hoping this book will change that
