I'm having a hard time following the social interactions in this book.

The fight scene was alright, but I can imagine it looked better when the author visualized it.

I genuinely don't see what's aggressive or passive about Nerevors passive-aggressive remarks.

"Every society has a blind spot, an area into which it has great difficulty looking. Today that blind spot is killing. A century ago it was sex."
Not sure if his historical facts here check out, but they do sound plausible enough.

Not sure what to think yet. The ideas are very interesting.

The introduction was bad, when it turned to violence in media. Nearly every second sentence was dubious or wrong.

My preliminary judgement: A perfect 3/5 book. I don't understand how exactly it had won an award.
