This is a little more sad and has far fewer characters, so far, than a Jill Mansell book usually does.

The humor reminds me a bit of "Notting Hill" with a dash of "Bridget Jones' Diary".

I ran out of Spotify minutes so I will have to wait a few days yo finish this.

Ok this one is actually fascinating and has a way of putting into words things that are sometimes very hard to describe.

Damn this book is a slog

This is the one she rewrote because she was embarrassed by the original ('Suicide Med'). I haven't read the original so I can't be positive but this series feel like it's the transition from the boring hospital dramas like 'The Devil Wears Scrubs'and 'Baby City' to the boring twist heavy mystery/thrillers.

... but, for food and a bed, the couriers will bring things to other colonies for you while they travel the space/void. I don't know if I got this correct. You follow a courier and the floating rocks have different atmospheres. I don't get why one is a farm land and one is an icy mountain village but they feel like tiny plots of rock. So little space the farmers tie up cows and toss them over the side if the rock

... and you can go up, down or outwards in any direction and maybe find another colony. But how big are the colonies? It often feels like 10-12 houses max. The women stay there but, when the men become of age, they jump and go find other colonies to start life on. Of course, there are bandits in the space/void which will kill and steal supplies. There are also couriers that travel around. No government(?)...

I'm having a hard time visualizing the size of this world. What I am picturing is a bunch of floating rocks in "space" except space had breathable air. The floating rocks sometimes have small colonies living on them. You can walk right up to the edge and jump off. Depending on how you angle your body, you can rise or fall (similar to one b of those indoor Skydiving facilities). You can walk right to the edge.....

This one is dragging quite a bit.

Seriously this book feels like it's about to end again and I'm only 2/3 of the way through. This feels like it could have been a trilogy.

If I wasn't aiming to finish every Frieda book, this would be a DNF for sure. It's pretty gross some of the things written about the patients in this book. The 1* reviews are right. She rewrote the one where some dude had a functioning eyeball on his butt cheek because she was embarrassed by how poorly written it was but is still cool with this one? Wild....

This feels like Dr. Jane McGill all over again and not in a good way. It's a day in the life of more a-hole doctors. Riveting stuff, Freida.
