This is not good. The question is whether I waste the rest of my vacation reading something I already don’t like or if I cut my losses now.

So Ama is kind of terrible.

I hate this book.

This book is so fucking messy.

Is it just me or does something bad happen immediately after every time they fuck?

Ugh why do I hate this so much already?

I am unabashedly enjoying the fuck out of this so far. It’s like a creepier, seedier version of “The Night Circus” and I am all for it.

How am I only halfway through this???? How are there like 8 books in this series? How do people read the same 500 page book OVER AND OVER AND OVER?

I’m just so booooored by this. It looked so good and it’s just…not.

DNFing at 55%.

It’s so disappointing to get excited about a book with older MCs only to find out that they act like children. And I’m NOT referring to their proclivity for online gaming, but the way they approach relationships, both romantic and otherwise. These aren’t real people, they’re broad caricatures of what an author thinks older introverts are.

So far, lightning is definitely not striking twice.

Not sure how this isn’t higher rated on here. I’m loving it so far.

I am confident, based on the author’s photo on the back flap, that nothing bad will befall any kitties in this book.

This book is a grower, not a shower.

I found the magic system a little clunky at first but it’s slowly growing on me.

An off the shoulder football jersey? Spare me.
