Amber is 26% done with Caraval (Caraval, #1)

Aw man. I put this on as a light listen while I work. I figured it wouldn't require a lot of brain power, and I wouldn't have to pay a ton of attention to it. But damn. The bits getting through are just so damn annoying. Scarlett seems really dumb and naive, Julian is obviously going to be the annoying, rogue love interest. The metaphors are overdone, too.

So far, lots of words, not a lot of substance.
