I seriously have to start this series! Even my brother(who is not a big reader) has demolished every book. Well, no more waiting! Just placed it on hold! (So now I'm waiting... hurry up Library, this is all your fault!) ;D Just finished his Cinder Spires novel, and loved it. So now I need more Jim Butcher awesomeness already =D

Beth is 82% done with The Aeronaut's Windlass (The Cinder Spires, #1)

Jim has done a good job of making the reader question whether the "bad guys" in this story are all that bad. He's shown them to be honorable men(no raping allowed) and bad-ass fighters. And they are fighting for "House Aurora" (Sorry, but all I can think of is "Little princess Aurorans"), how bad could they be? Well..Shit.Just.Got.Real. THEY BURNED A LIBRARY!!!!! Way to make us hate their evil guts Jimmy. Good job :(

Beth is 20% done with Rogue

Wow, this started off pretty dark. The prose in the beginning is a but clunky with technical info, but I'm going to stick it out since some other folks on here said it gets better, but I'm reading some other light fluffy reads in the meantime to relax after a long day. This book covers a lot of hard issues like slavery and genocide. I thought is was interesting that the main character is within the autism spectrum.

Beth is 70% done with The Girl at Midnight (The Girl at Midnight, #1)

I kind of got bogged down 70% and had to take a break. Echo got caught by her crush running around New York with a dude from the enemy side. I could see it playing out to be a "love triangle showdown". Shit got real and I couldn't face the angst. I finally picked the book up again after a week of delaying the inevitable...
I just finished it, and I decided I really liked the book. 4.5 stars

I am now in love with the library media Overdrive system. Why? Because now I can read this book for free on my kindle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
