I am torn between hating and loving it, but most certainly this book teaches me a lot about myself as a reader! Just like my dear Lady Dedlock I am bored to death by the descriptive passages and to be quite frank I hate some of the rambling on of some characters (Mr Skimpole!!). At other times (especially the dialogue and when characters are actively driving the story forward) I love it.
