I don't know why this has been such a slow read for me. I love it; it's not as fast-paced as Nine Rules, but the setup is so original and Nick is to-die-for.

I'm having so much trouble maintaining interest in this one. Which makes me feel guilty, because it's a review copy. But I don't think I can finish it.

I need to read other things, but I can't stop listening now!

Reading this to review it. I'm such a mood-driven reader, and I'm feeling more into nonfiction and romance right at the moment, so I hope that doesn't distract me too much. Because so far I really like the premise and characters and want to love the whole thing.

Divine so far. And there's a fencing scene with a Monty Python reference, which really ups the charm factor.

I've been hearing great things about this book for years, so when the nonfiction book I had lined up to listen to next turned out to be abridged, I thought why not? I've never actually finished a Regency romance, so this will be a learning experience.

I'm glad I decided to listen to this, because hearing it in the author's own voice makes it even more powerful.

Interest has flagged a bit, but this continues to be surprisingly fantastic accompaniment to packing up all my stuff.

Listening and cleaning the kitchen. This is a surprisingly good companion for packing to move. Maybe I resent the work less when I'm technically reading the whole time?

Sort of passively listening to this on drives and while packing. A bit dry, but it is interesting to learn about the role of the general population in inciting the Revolution.

That moment when you start listening to audiobooks about the American Revolution because of Hamilton.

I got approved for an ARC! Planning to download it and start reading tonight!

Really liking this so far. Montgomery is both likeable and very fallible, and I'm excited about how much growth I think she's capable of. Really aware of reading this as a grown-up, but that's not a bad thing at all.
