I absolutely love this book so far! Different then I expected, not a RomCom nor a romantic fiction (definitely a woman's fiction), but so entertaining and based on social/cultural topics that are still very much alive today since the 1950s.

Not what I was expecting from this book. So far it seems to be more of a character driven fictional plot and not a RomCom as expected. But, I'll continue on and see where it goes.

I read this right when it came out. With this reread leading into CC2, I'm reminded of so much and realizing how much I missed!

It's been so long, reread bring it on! Then moving into book 2... excited to get there.

Okay, yep... turning into a little mermaid retelling. Although different enough, jury is still out for me.

Based on the cover, I expected a retelling of The Little Mermaid. But I'm pleasantly surprised it's not.

I'm liking this better then the 1st. Both are norse/viking related titles and well written YA!

I really like that there is German within this book!

I loved this! And the vocal narrator on the audiobook was PHENOMENAL!! Full review to come.

I'm loving this!

This is my first KC title and I'm really liking her writing style. This audiobook narrator is fantastic and I am hooked on this book!

Thanks to NetGalley for the audiobook ARC I get to listen to! I'll have a full review at the end. But being at only 12% so far, I know this is going to be an awesome review. I am loving the starting story line, the character development, and the VOCAL ACTOR is amazeballs!

The dark turn of this book is exactly what is needed for the series! There is a time for war and JLA is bringing it 🔥🔥🔥
