Struggling with this one. Sanderson has jumped the shark with his wokeness. I mean the books isn't even about the story anymore it's just about jamming every social construct into the book that he can. I'm determined to finish but it's the hardest book I've ever slogged thru. I pray that the new Mistborn Era will be much better.

DNF. I have loved this series from the start but Sanderson decided to jam every woke scenario possible in this book and I'm over it. it's a shame since I've come this far. I have no problem with the plot's issues with mental health so far but it has become so much that now it's "the plot" and I'm not interested in it anymore. This was not subtle in any way. Sorry Brando. I'm over it, you jumped the shark imo.

I'm going to make it thru this series if it KILLS ME!

What a slog. Sanderson went way over his wokeness quota on this one. I don't know if I'll ever finish. What a shame because I was loving the series until he turned this book into a mental health text book instead of letting the story play out. I read fantasy to get away from the issues he crammed into this one. I know that the themes have run throughout this series but not this heavily. Way too much!

I'm at about 70% and struggling. Sanderson is known for addressing mental dysfunction but he has gone overboard on this one. Seems like he's more interested in that, than just writing a great book. I mean, enough is enough. You don't have to make every character into a mental illness struggle. I just want to read the story the way his original books were written. Ugh!

This is going to be a dnf for me. Ukk. So horrible and toxic.

I can't begin to explain how much I love these books. I really hope that Jonathan continues this series with another trilogy or even some novellas. Thank you JF for this wild ride *hangs on to the tusks and goes all balls out!*
