Hmm, okay good news first: this was not written by some weaboo who only knows Japanese culture/history from anime, but s.o. who did research. Bad news: they feel the need to repeatedly impart on the reader how well they have done their research. The writing started off really good, some weird phrasing notwithstanding, but it's deteriorating. And that sexy scene was the most cringeworthy I have read in ages 🙈
