Stuart is 80% done with Her Last Lie

I am being plagued with Isla remembering her past. Hardly a page goes by without reference to what happened 6 years ago. This is becoming tiresome. This is not a gripping story. It is overlong with characters doing things that I would argue they would not do in reality given the circs. The ending is easy to see coming all the way back from the uni reunion. I will see it through, it's not all bad!

Not sure if this is a spoiler. So far, we have seen Chris attempt suicide only to postpose due to Sarah walking unexpectedly on to the platform. Nearly the next 3rd of the book describes, from 2 perspectives, what's occurring in both characters' heads in endless detail. Nothing else happens at all. I am soldiering on....

This book is described as a comedy. I'm struggling with that. Yet to even chuckle, let alone laugh.
I predict that they will realise that they love each other and live happily ever after. I will stay with it to see if I'm right....
