Ugh Mak’s death was cheap.

This book was 5 stars up until this point when the writing time jumped back a year without ring obvious about it, at least in the audiobook. No smooth transitions from present to here let me tell you what happened….

Also I did not feel any emotion from the main character when talking about her dead sister in the present which was weird and confusing because I thought she’d recently died then time jump.

The writing is pretty basic so its easy to read. The premise seems fun and I gotta say it is nice and powerful to see men be put in their place for once but I do believe in equality for all so it still feels a bit wrong.

I hate how the author tells instead of shows. It really makes this drag and is confusing.

The sex scenes are super cringey.
