I'm terrified how this is going to end. The tension is unbearable.

I've been reading this for five months and I'm determined to finish it now before I start another book.

Such brutal, beautiful prose.

From the moment you wake up, set yourself a challenge, even if it’s a small one, like making sure your bed is made before you leave the house. Put yourself in the correct frame of mind and challenge yourself constantly – you can prove to yourself that you’re ‘good enough’ one hundred times a day.

Negative people become isolated. The only people who’ll want to be anywhere near them are other negative people. All the positivity drains from their lives. They become isolated. Eventually they make true their own horrible fantasy of reality. They actually get the vicious, dangerous world that their minds imagined, surrounded by enemies of their own creation.

It was just a case of working out exactly where the fear was in space and time, then visualising it, before making a conscious choice to step into it and – finally – doing what had to be done.

An angry, relentless Parker is a good Parker.
