Haven't been reading it a lot...not the most gripping, but when I'm reading I feel happy to continue.

I've never read anything from the point of view of someone with autism and it's very interesting. I thought that it was a strange way of writing at first before I realised that March had autism and the way it was written was how children like him think.

Really great book so far! I wanted to read it earlier but never got round to it, but since the series is out, i thought i should finally read it.

Really good tension is being built throughout and I love how so far you know enough about the world, but still some stuff is unanswered, including some of the characters' backgrounds.

Really good book so far! Sarah Crossman knows how to make multi perspective work so it isn't confusing. So far so good, I'm excited to see how this book progresses!

I'm not too sure on this book...It's not very gripping, hence no updates, and it's taking me a long time to read it. I haven't been able to decide whether I want to stop reading it and move on to a better book that I want to read, or just to push through it.
For now, I'm going to stop reading it and maybe pick it up later if I feel I should.

Definitely different from what I expected, not that I really knew what I expected. It's a good book and had me drawn in right from the beginning. To me, it's almost childish: simple sentences and lots of them. But something about it makes it for older readers. I don't know how he managed to do it, but he seems to have complex words and sentences but makes them very short.
Quite a good book so far...

This book is fantastic! I don't want this series to end, but soon it will. I love how Jacob gets to test *and show off* his new found talent. I can't wait to see if they get into the wights' base and take back their friends before the wights take their souls. I would also love to find out if 'The Library of Souls' is a real place...

This book is okay. The story line is fine, but not very creative: it's just what Oz is like with a greedy Dorothy ruling it. I feel like the writing and description could be better, Paige seems to want the story to flow quickly so some places and people we are rushed into meeting. However, the simple writing style makes it easy to read so I'm not taking too long on an almost good book.

I have to say, the beginning was a bit boring only because I'm not particularly into 'real life' kinda of books, I like the fantasy. I carried on reading because I knew that their was fantasy coming and after a few pages, the tornado whisked her away to oz(with her mothers pet rat, Star).
However, something is not quite right with oz, and the good witch and Dorothy seem to be bad.
I'm really excited to read more

I love this book even more each time I read a new page! It is a great read and I highly recommend it and the first. I love the clever things they find out-usually by the book they have about tales of the peculiar, which has truth intertwined with fiction. Can't wait to move onto the last book!

Really great book! They get themselves in trouble and have to get out of them-a lot-but each time they have new ways of solving these problems, solutions that are so clever and that I thought they could never find-tying tension in this book too.

Really exciting! I've stopped at a cliffhanger, men are chasing them from a submarine in the sea, along the shore. The children are just escaping from their hiding place and we'll see what happens next chapter!

Fantastic book so far, already many tense scenes have occurred but for now, all children are relatively safe...
They're rowing three little boats, through choppy seas and hammering rain to get to mainland, where they will try to find more answers or another loop for protection.

This book is really gripping. I didn't mean to stay up this late but I couldn't put it down! Jacob has gone to a Welsh island to find Miss Peregrines home, his dad coming along to document birds for his book he's working on. Some parts of this book, including the pictures, make it more suitable for the day and not just before bed!

The book is already filled with the fantasy I was looking for, after only reading the prologue. In the prologue he talks about his grandfather telling him magical and peculiar stories from his childhood, which he soon finds out to be exaggerated truths of his life in the war.
Can't wait to read chapter 1!
