Enjoying this reread

Decided I needed to reread this one before getting into the sequel

I’m feeling frustrated that this book is so slow ramping up. It’s going deep into history and working it’s way to the present, but doesn’t seem to get to the point. It raises questions about pseudo science but doesn’t come out against it, maybe it will later? Maybe it’s supposed to gently walk people there?

It’s weird finally reading this book when I’ve read so many blogs written by actual autistics. Hoping it digs deeper once past the intro. But good to have this stuff in a mainstream place.

It’s really bothering me that Thursday is lying to her husband. It’s just treated kind of flippantly when it’s actually a big deal. And I have the suspicion that she’s not going to come clean until the very end of the book annoyingly.

Decided to stick w it despite not liking the romances.

Ugh why are the men in this book such clods. And if they are such clods why are the women interested in them :(

Trying to decide whether to keep reading or abandon ship :/

I’ve been informed that this book is not in fact a queer romance and I am kind of bummed.
