Existentialism: is it really a humanistic philosophy? Sartre says yes. I have to agree with the author, it does seem very French.

Enjoyed, or maybe more accurately appreciated, the discussion about things we like and appreciate that were created by people or groups since shown to have issues, eg Woody Allen or Mel Gibson or Chick-fil-A.

Chris and I borrowed this audiobook for listening to and from her mom's last Saturday. Really enjoying the conversational presentation. The two primaries exhibit a warmth and genuineness that is sorely lacking in our world today.

I'm not sure if I can believe the argument for trying to change things, basically that things that might appear hopeless really aren't and here are some examples to show you. But what are the alternatives? It looks like continuing unchanged on our current path leads only to more division and distraction.

I hope there are additional ideas to come that have a chance of working with the ideas so far.

Really appreciating it so far. Interesting stats about flow state, deep focus, reduced sleep, and more. I shake my head at some of the stats, like 57% of Americans in a recent year did not read a single book during the year, evidentlybtoo much attention to twitter and other short forms of text.

More trial! And a mistrial on the 3rd round. And Chablis crashing the Black debutante ball.

Finished up the voodoo section for Williams's retrial. Joe Odom's got a new place that he's using in violation of the zoning, but of course he'll try to work around that.

Complicated politics in Savannah, re Lee Adler and Jim Williams. Their stories don't seem to match up, at least when it comes to the timeline and the motivations.
