Still the best first chapter of any book I have ever read!

It's 5am, I've been awake since 2am, I've just finished reading The Dragon Republic, and yet somehow I thought now would be the perfect time to start my Nevernight reread. I'm only read the Caveat Emptor section and I've already been hit right in the feels!

2am and sleep is evading me. I fully blame this on the fact that I was reading this book right before sleep. Guess I'll wake up and just continue until it's done, as it doesn't sleep like my mind will rest until then!

That last line fucking hurts!

The deception!!! I should have remembered how sinister this tale was, especially given the prologue that frames it.

Rereading this makes me realize just how cleverly constructed this novel is.

Bought this book 10 minutes ago, started reading it 5 minutes ago, and already my heart is breaking!

And that is how we end a book!!!

These plot twists got me shook!

The dialogue in this is incredible! I'm legit cackling out loud!
