Thirteen pages in and 1. Lily is writing to Ellen (im so over it) 2. She writes that she hopes her daughter will not see the violent side of her dad and did not think that fighting for custody was worth it?? She says it’s the lesser of two evils because she wants her daughter to bond with her dad?????

I don’t know what to think of this book. The main character is so strange and not in a good way

This is exactly what I needed. I am feeling like it will be a new favourite of mine.

I am LOVING this. It is everything I’ve ever wanted.

I started reading reviews because I am struggling a little bit. Yep, I spoilt myself. Probably not for the whole book, but still :( I’m very particular with Historical Fiction, it’s a hit or miss. Ruta Sepetys is a wonderful writer, the style isn’t to blame at all.

Maybe it’s cause I am almost to the half way point and it’s just starting to pick up… idk. I might have to put it down
