This last was indeed a kind of horror story and I am not convinced I understand it or the ending. But intriguing, odd...

"The Bletted Woman" In the Notes Campbell suggests this is a horror story, sure, but hopeful.

Almost casual treatment of rape ... in multiple places.

It is surreal and I am only rarely fond of surreal, but this might work for me.

It is a puzzle and a mystery in the very best possible way.
