So far I like the warrior monk thing that’s going but otherwise…. Kinda boring

Wow just wow. Reading this book it’s just as breathing as the first time. I love this author. Her writing is so descriptive. She has an amazing Ted talk too about being an African author and why she started writing. Not only is she an amazing person her WRITING is stunning. The stories of her chapters pull on your heartstrings.

This book takes place in Nigeria in the mid nineteenth century.

Fuck off. Pregnant already via abuser. 50 pages in. I don’t want to finish it. Changed to poppy wars.

Rereading this for the second time. The dad… ugh

So I picked this series back up again after maybe 15 years. I was having a hard time getting the next book from the library. Yay for adult money. 10/10 fantasy series

I recently discovered that this author cowrote episodes 1,2, and 3 of Star Wars. Yeah makes sense. But I think if Drizzt faced off with Anakin…. He would win. Giving Drizzt a lightsaber….. hahaha I would like to read about that. He’s a monster.

I love this book. It’s making me reevaluate some really overlooked characters from other books.

If you like the Adventures of Sinbad this is something for you!

The main character is an absolute legend. I will never forget this book. I don’t want it to end. I’ve been savoring the last chapters.

Really good so far. Really liking the main characters and descriptive writing. Definitely got this as an ebook. The printed one is massive for no reason. Not looking into developing carpal tunnel.

Thank you again for the distinction between dragon and wyvern. Game of thrones literally has wyvern and it’s ticked me off since the series started.

So far nothing of major significance has happened in the book again. Nearly halfway though. Just a lot about Xaden and x boyfriends and more annoying people.

This is difficult to read after Pachinko…. That book was so good that I didn’t even want to start this and I preordered it months ago….

However, it’s still a good story. I hate Xaden. He is to “perfect”. I kinda hope he gets taken out or made the big baddy like we have been waiting for.

If you are someone planning on having children you need to read this book. The research is in and it’s no longer acceptable to be emotionally immature adults. Start to evolve to read about emotions. I wish I would have done it sooner. Reflecting on myself and my parents has been hard but I want to be better for all of my relationships. Not just if I want to have children.

God, I love this book. I’ve already read it, but I needed a good cry.

This is incredibly insightful. You have to take it in small bursts though. I highly recommend reading it alongside he understanding, masculine psychology, and Atlas of the heart.

Amazing book. Will definitely be rereading for the foreseeable future.

I’m listening to this at the same time. Audible has the author read it to you and there is little extras from her. Absolutely entertaining, knowledgeable, and fascinating. Came across this book after watching a video about how whales could have 20 more emotions than humans. I was stunned when I could only come up with the 5 emotions from the inside out movie and wanted to explore more. Got my partner into it too!

This book has the worst title ever. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to know more about the evolution of emotional science. This does talk about couples. However I’m reading it along with Atlas of the Heart and Adult Children of Emotionally immature parents and the studies are absolutely fascinating and back one another. RIP to the orphans who died of emotional neglect. Thank you Dr Bowlby, you a saint.

Kindle pages are different lol

This is a refreshing take on vampires however if you have watched Owari no Seraph or The Promised Neverland, it gives the same vibes in a good way.

Wow! I can only read so much at a time. I’m a lover of philosophy though so maybe I’m just fan-girl-ing.

Still really loving how this is written. Inner masculinity and femininity are (I think) really well described and not demeaning. Will most likely be rereading this again in my future and getting something completely different. My partner is enjoying it too and he is not a big reader.

This guys mind is crazy! Highly suggest this to anyone looking for something to read this spooky season. I just bought his other book Uzumaki.

So far this is my favorite book.

I like how the author uses mythology to make his point about the feminine and masculine energies (or powers or whatever it is being convey over and over in books like this). However, I’m liking this one. It’s keeping my attention and I am enjoying it.

Accidentally got this book confused with the 2nd book but only on goodreads. I’m a dork!!!

I think this is the book that everyone called a “hallmark” kinda book. So far it’s kinda nice but I’m literally on page 18 haha
