Okay, so the guy isn't dead. Evil dude is still evil though.

Part two! These kids remind me of the Artful Dodger and gang from Oliver Twist, Lol!

Seems both the 1992 movie and the musical stage play did a good job at following the general plot of the book up to this point (plus or minus a couple things). But the movie and play were different from each other later on, so I'm curious to see which one stayed the most faithful to the book.

I want to read this so much faster, but I've been so sleepy the past few nights. Gaah! *flails*

I've seen the movie from the 90's and the stage play version. Figured it's about time I read the book. I'll be listening to the audiobook version.

Very strong opening to this book. It really grabs you and gives you a sense of what the world is like. And also, talking griffins. <3

Lord Hamlin, I mean this in the nicest way possible, but if you had listened to me, YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT 50 PAGES AGO AND SAVED YOURSELF A LOT OF TIME AND SEVERAL FLEA BITES!!!

Okay, so I may have been wrong when I said there's no real action in this story. Is it the action thriller of the year? No. But that nasty guy will think twice about messing with Rose again! You go girl! \o/

In other news, I have come up with an awesome theory about who both Rose and the villain really are, but I can't say it here or it'll be a MAJOR spoiler if I'm right! Guess I'll just have to keep reading!

Noooo! Rupert's not right for her and I don't trust him anyway! And even if he was right, the way to get her to look at him and not you is not by saying something that makes you look like a stuck-up snob and also makes her cry because she thought you weren't a stuck-up snob! Gah! *flails*

This is definitely going to be a slower read for me. It's not that it's uninteresting, it's just that it's much more driven by the characters and their relationships than by action. I like it, though. It's just going to take me longer to read than some books of similar length.
