My bus journey home is exactly one volume of Sex Criminals long,because hilarious comic is hilarious. I mean that basement,I have to put it down for a while and admire that scenery,fucking brilliant! Also the dildo fight was pretty epic.Seriously, Chip Zdarsky just arts awkwardness so well.The letters page was also especially perfect this month.
Hands down for another great issue!

Raisa R is reading The Wicked + The Divine Vol. 1

Read it last night and honestly it was the best debut issue I’ve read in quite some time. Gods briefly returning to Earth once every 90 years, the focus lies more on the characters roles as pop stars than gods.The Wicked + The Divine will be about a lot of things, but at its core, it will be a series about creating art, specifically music.

In the intro, Jonathan Carroll wrote that ‘Signal To Noise does not entertain. it scratches, it provokes, it frightens’, and that is a terribly accurate description.
There was a shift in the art, placing lines of text over static images, that was a little harder for me to read, and I attribute my dislike for it to that.

Raisa R is on page 433 of 448 of Walking Disaster (Beautiful, #2)

Let me start by saying that when I read Beautiful Disaster,I loved it.So I really had high hopes for this POV sequal.The words spoken are the same,as any POV book would be,but the thoughts and feelings from Travis's POV are so awesome to experience.Walking Disaster was the same story all over again and also seemed rush.
However,the redeeming part of this book is the epilogue and view into their future. Loved that.
