this book sucked the life out of me with this epic story of helen and winnie and thar creep of a husband wen fu. hope found its way through the threads of these stories and Amy Tan always makes me weep with joy.

I loved this book. What an interesting and surprising tale of a monkey and a donkey experiencing the HORRORS. This book unravels slowly and precisely as Henry the author respondst to a fan that says "he needs help" with a play he has written. What ensues is a relationship that reveals something much darker and twisted than just a story about monkey and a donkey...

I like the 'starkness' of how Yann Martel writes. This book has similarities to Life Of Pi. I feel as if I am viewing the book from a subtle distance created by Y. Martel's writing style for Beatrice and Virgil. I am in love with his writing style. intrigues me because it is much different from the books I usually read. a funnel to reach the feelings.

We are cynical about our own species, but less so about animals, especially wild ones. We might not shelter them from habitat destruction, but we do tend to shelter them from excessive irony.

Lif of Pi is one if my favorite reads ever. I am looking forward to this book with great pleasure. I did a little dance when it irrived in the mail.

My book back from La Paz on the plane. Wow. Amy Tan always makes me cry. Her characters touch my heart in those deep spots that trigger instant tears of empathy for the character's circumstances and feelings. Excellent so far.

I had to take a an SK break, but back now. This will be my 10th book of his this year. Bag of Bones is my favorite SK book.

I have read all of Luanne's books except for 3 or 4 of the 31 novels. Looking forward to finishing this one next. *I 've already read What Matters Most but don' t think the out of sequence will matter.
