Glokta is the best character ever. Love his chapters most. So far it’s great.

Every scene is written so vividly. The characters in this book are so easy to visualize. My brain is having a field day casting actors for every role… and theY are giving me some great performances.

I love the character Glokta best so far. I’ve noticed in fan art that a lot of people draw him much older than 35. He looks almost 60 in many of the drawings.. but I picture a sort of handsome man in his 30s who has been so broken, and his teeth brutalized, his ego burned, that it makes him less attractive… he was someone who was once this great and popular swordsman. He was Someone who was once handsome.

Off to a fantastic start. The writing is master class. I have a good feeling about this one. Fingers crossed. It’s been a while since I’ve had a 5star read but I am optimistic
