Byron chapter on reread is the most rewarding thing ever. peak fiction.

second read and i still have no fucking idea what's going on in this part. love it.

so much of the setting in this book feels legitimately post apocalyptic. probably captures the devastation and sheer scale of loss of WW2 better than any war film I've seen

alright yeah this is fucking dope

this is by far his weirdest book and there's solid competition

whole springer retrieval arc and enzians chapter right after is some of the greatest fiction ive ever experienced, i love this utterly mad book and it just gets better and better. the counterforce is going to melt my brain
