A lot of new scientific jargon, but also a lot of interesting bits of information. I wonder how deep this goes.

Maryanne Wolf in Reader, Come Home comes with a compelling reason to read: to develop empathy towards others & connect with other minds in order to broaden our own understanding of the world. Reading is not just the act of knowing words and what they mean. The ability is only a means to an end: to connect with others and expand who we are.

I enjoy how the writer used letters to convey her thoughts on such a complex subject! I am listening to the audio book as I read and find this method quite interesting. I will suggest that my younger readers approach reading this way sometimes.

Now reading how to consider inference as one of the pillars of Reading Comprehension. Wonderful notes for all teachers to know and consider in their teaching!

Very informative and interesting. Definitely getting a lot of ideas on how to better teach vocabulary.

I’ve read chapters of this book, but am now set to read the whole thing at one go. So far, so good.
