I stopped reading

Definitely enjoying this book! Big Tolkien and Lewis fan and I like the Jacobean speech.

I could not connect to the book. I very rarely put a book down without finishing it, but this was one of those occasions.

I wasn't expecting to be so caught up in this story!! Other than a few minor typos, the flow of the story is excellent. The world-building and character development are outstanding and I am literally losing precious hours of sleep reading this book. I'm not even looking at my other books that are waiting to be finished! If you love fierce battles, both spiritual and physical, don't miss this!!

Just finished Max Gladstone's A Kiss with Teeth and I immediately want to read it again!! Not your typical vampire/vampire hunter story...

I just finished Lovecraft Unbound 2nd Edition (while have breakfast and coffee!) and gave it 5 stars.

I just finished Yellow Crocus and gave it 3 stars. Good pacing help keep a familiar theme from feeling stale. This book doesn't break new ground, but it is worth reading.

I just finished Patterns in the Dark (Dragon Blood Book 4) and gave it 4 stars. I am really enjoying this series. Pirates, airplanes, dragons, and magical sarcastic swords!!

I just finished The Casebook of Esho St. Claire: The Gibbering Mr. Cravat ~ The Current Killer and gave it 5 stars.

I just finished The Uninvited Guests: A Novel and gave it 4 stars. A strange and wonderful hybrid of supernatural spookiness and an English manor house romantic comedy, the writing is engaging and the pace quite lively. I will definitely read this book again!

I just finished The Black: Arrival and gave it 4 stars. I read most of this in one chilling sitting. Good job again, Mr. Cooley.

I just finished Gormek of the Thousand Tongues (A Short Story) and gave it 4 stars. Funny, gross, and fast-paced, the story made wince and smile!

I just finished Flirting with Felicity. Well, actually I finished it a couple of weeks ago but was saving it on my iPhone for the interesting Mac and Cheese recipe at the end! Good book but I gained weight just reading it....

I just finished You Come When I Call You: A Novel of Supernatural Horror. This one took a while to finish as it was too disturbing to read before bedtime. Can't wait to to travel down more dark and gore-streaked roads with this writer!

I just finished The Scorpio Races. I had previously read the author's Shiver series, but this book was at an entirely different level. I throughly enjoyed the story and the first-class world building. Don't let the premise---man-eating water horses?!?!---deter you from taking this journey!!

Ok... I admit defeat! It is extremely rare that I do not finish book or in this case a series, but I've been "stuck" half-way through the second book for about a month now.

I found the exploration of the physical, geographical, mystical and emotional terrains stimulating! The changes taking place within each character, watching them struggle with desire, growth, new environments and how they adapted keep the story interesting. The action sequences did not disappoint: loved all the fight scenes! This world is one that I hope to revisit soon.

I started this book during the last week and have been reading it on my iPhone Kindle app. The balance of erotica and gore is deftly handled and I am already wishing there was a sequel!

I actually started this about a week ago... enjoying the witty banter and actions scenes!

Trying to go more slowly reading this... it is so dense!
