Ah, yes, this is more like it.

November buddy read with the one and only Edward Lorn. I'm not in the least doubtful he'll tackle this as easy as pie, but man, I may have bitten off more than I can chew! The first testing of the water made me feel dazed and slightly confused, arms hesitantly outstretched trying to get a grip of my surroundings. At the same time I just love the narrative. To start Chapter V - A Morning Adventure.

Not too convince of this either, has the good inspector lost his touch?

Mostly going through the motions, but enough of the familiar good parts to keep interest up.

Not only Banks seem a bit peaked now, the storytelling is a bit uninspired I think

It's such a great pleasure reading King, pulls me into another world even though he's just told about quite mundane things yet.

Two questions though: how common were microwave ovens in 1973 really? And how aware of blood borne infection were people then?

Wiggling back and forth with this one, on the one hand, I got my wanted unexpectedness and there are really good parts to the story, on the other hand, I'm not comfy at all with the narrative and other parts...

It would be way cool if this went off in a totally unexpected direction. Any time now.

The potential consequences in case of failure are a bit worse than even the movie-James Bond has ever faced :-S

I may just finish this before it's officially released - maybe... Not much to correct in this version, though, and Susan May always delivers.

The final part/story is this far mostly atmosphere, but what atmosphere! Almost missed my bus stop (again)

The English word "Scowl" has always felt wrong to me. Whenever a character in a book scowls (and if you haven't noticed, they do a lot, not suitable for a drinking game if you want to remember what you read last) I see an expression that is quite different from what I learned is the one named so.
